Best place in the country?

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

I'm going to confine this to the US, because neither Trav nor I are willing to give up our citizenship to go to another country. Working visas are one thing, but citizenship is another.

So, post on. Greg? Lan? LewBaby? Let's get something going on here, OK?

After you all answer, I'll post my dream place. Oh wait. This will be more fun. You all post what YOU want and then tell me what you think I want.

Tough call on this one.
Lots of plusses and minuses everywhere.

Easy to think someplace warmer year round would be good, or maybe someplace where there is a little more "action" so to speak.

Obviously, I'd most likely be in Chi-town if I wasnt here, but as long as I can catch the Cubbies and Bears games on tv or the internet I'm good with it LOL!

Then again, I have family here and a lot of my favorite things are here as well.
Plus, if I'm not here I cant make fun of all the stupid things that go on around the area [img]wink.gif[/img]

I cannot see me ever living anywhere else. Different neighborhood, but still on the Gulf coast. I love it here. If I couldn't breathe in that fresh sea air I would feel like I was suffocating. There is a good chance I may come up to visit this year for Thanksgiving though. I have not been away from Tampa Bay (by choice) since I moved here, so I'm ready to come back to visit. But for just a few days...

Flagstaff, Arizona. At 7,000 feet, doesn't get too hot in the summer. Got the mountains to the north, got the Grand Canyon to the northwest. It's located on Route 66, the Mother Road. The pacific ocean is a day's drive away. About 80 trains a day pass through it. If I need to get my big city/pro sports fix, Phoenix is less than 2 hours south. Every time I've been there, people just hang out and act cool.

If forced to choose the US....Colorado....Either Snow Mass or Colorado Springs.

Well since xenophobia is a requirement for this thread my choices are:

1. Colorado - Snow Mass or Colorado Springs

2. Oregon - Portland

3. ANYWHERE but Cincinnati
